On the last day of the Dog year
The end of the lunar year, as usual, the hectic, but sorrowful atmostphere obssesses me. Since I grew up and was mature enough to recognize the boredom of this occasion, I have been so familiar with this sense. Taking a deep breath, I can remember every similar moment of this day every year ago.
The smell of Tet lures people, but hurts people. New year brings people a sense of a change, an innovation and hope, but it tends to arouse regret. Regretting about a missed opportunity, a hurried moment, a love that expeditiously comes and goes… This time also brings about worriment. How can you know what is waiting for you after the temptation of a long holiday covered by the wishes and parties?
A silent moment to be nostalgic, I remember all the innocent things in the childhood where in my mind, Tet was something twinkle like the star, not that gloomy and dreary days now.
